Music Technology and Grime
Grime uses lots of music technology. The music is made by computers. The computer software uses sounds that make the crazy drumbeats. The synths are used for the music. The DAW is used to make grime. A popular programme is fruityloops.
Structure
Grime music has a simple structure. The same ideas go throughout the piece. There may be a bit where it changes, but normally it is the same ideas repeated.
Harmony
Grime uses sinister sounds. It uses synths and minor chords to give the music an edge. The grime producers layer up sounds to give the track some feeling.
Melody
The tunes are repeated over and over. In grime the rap is the main part of the song. The instrumental has sounds that are repeated.
Rhythm
The drums in grime are fast and rapid. They are complicated. They are made using DAW software like in the video:

My Grime piece
now with this knowledge i will make an grime beat. I tried lots of ideas for my piece. These are the ones i finally went with.
I use a ghost piano to make the the little key chords
I use a hit machine to keep the pace of the flow going
I did the same thing with boutique 808 and classic uk hip hop
I use percussion kit and rating pad to smoothing out the beats for the other instruments
then I added this instrument to finish it off
Review
it sound like grime because it has great tempo and structure which bumps your adrelening and popping your head to every beat in the tempo and it is great for making bars I use a hit machine which most grime pieces have or others like botique 808 and classic uk hip hop which I both use in my piece swell which sounds really good.
I am pleased with my piece but if I where to do it again I would change percussion kit
